Curious about Cursillo?

Are you interested in spiritual growth?  Do you want help to wake up your Christian faith?  Would you enjoy hearing some clear explanations about the church in a safe environment where you and others can ask your own questions without being ignored or dismissed?

Consider Cursillo

Cursillo, (pronounced “kur-SEE-yo) is a Spanish word for short course.  The ongoing purpose of Cursillo is to present a method of living as a Christian in the world. For well over 40 years, it has provided a means for continual, personal, spiritual growth. Cursillo is a world-wide ministry, supported by the diocese of Ottawa.

Start with a Cursillo Weekend:

A Cursillo weekend helps start a lifelong exploration of what is fundamental to being a Christian, as well as providing ways to continue. In the quiet, nurturing atmosphere of a 3 day residential weekend, people from diverse backgrounds and experiences can explore and develop their faith, encouraged by others.

During the weekend, experienced leaders will encourage your faith journey with a series of talks and discussions which provide tools for faith.  There is also lively music and laughter, opportunities for solitude and worship, not to mention friends and great food.  Participants find that Jesus is welcoming them into a deeper relationship.

Cursillo is a Community

Cursillo is a community of Christians whose aim is to provide participants with proven tools to respond to God’s invitation more readily and to live the Christian life more fully. Cursillo does not replace a home church. After the weekend, cursillistas often find a welcoming church community or go back to their own churches refreshed, renewed and encouraged.
